Bridget Caramagna
Biography
Bridget Caramagna was born in Ridgewood, NJ in 1974, and became dedicated to making art in her childhood. She received her BFA from The Cooper Union in 1996 and her MFAts from Yale University in 1998, where she was awarded the Ralph Mayer Prize for Achievement. After graduate school, she moved to New York City and participated in numerous group shows, as well as her first solo show, “In a Program of Modern Mystery” in 2000 with Bellwether Gallery. She continued participating in various group shows internationally in Berlin, Mexico City, and the United States. Other solo shows include “Cryptogeometry” in Beacon, NY, 2008, “Trees” in Beacon, NY, 2014, and “Phenomena” in Wenham, MA in 2016. In 2020, she had a two person show at Mother Gallery in Beacon, NY, titled “finally Golden” with friend and artist Brian Bellott. In 2020, she was spotlighted as an artist to watch in Chronogram Magazine, and her paintings were most recently featured at Future Fair, NY. Her work has always explored the mystical and transcendent nature of consciousness.
