Overview
Riad Miah (b. Trinidad) received an MFA from The Ohio State University in 2000, a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in 1994, and studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting. His recent exhibitions include Freight + Voume, New York, NY; Readymade Gallery, Orleans, MA; Gallery Makowski, New York, NY; The Painting Center, New York, NY; Equity Gallery, New York, NY; Luo Zhongli Art Museum, Chongqing, China; Art on the Ave, New York, NY. He has received fellowships nationally and internationally. He has taught at the New York Arts Program, Parsons School of Design, and Sarah Lawrence College. His works are included in private, universities, and corporate collections. He is a contributing author for Two Coats of Paint, the Brooklyn Rail, and Art Savvy. Miah lives and works in New York.
