Carl D'Alvia in "Acclaimed sculptor makes art from bronze, marble"

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Artwork by a sculptor who lives in both New York City and West Cornwall is featured in a contemporary art museum’s exhibition until January.

Carl D’Alvia is an acclaimed artist who sculpts in bronze, marble and resin, and some of his pieces are on display at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum’s inaugural decennial exhibition in Ridgefield.

D’Alvia, born in Sleepy Hollow, New York, sat down with Ann Nyberg to discuss why he started sculpting, what he hopes audiences see and what he’s working on right now.
