Natalie Birinyi

Biographie

Natalie Birinyi is a Brooklyn based artist working in painting, drawing, printmaking, and installation. Birinyi received a BA from Columbia University and an MFA from Hunter College. She has been exhibited nationally and internationally including at the Museum of Contemporary Art Vojvodina (Vojvodina, Serbia), the Central Academy of Fine Arts (Beijing, China), and the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, (Winston-Salem, North Carolina). In 2015, she was commissioned by the Brooklyn Rail to create an installation for 66 Rockwell Place, Brooklyn as part of Hallway Hijack. She has received residencies at Residencia Corazón (Buenos Aires, Argentina), Hotel Pupik (Scheifling, Austria), The Spruce (Indiana, PA), and was part of the first cohort of artists at Silver Art Projects in the World Trade Center (New York, NY). She has an upcoming solo show with The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art (Altoona, PA), as well as works in upcoming iterations of the global DrawLive Project at The Central Academy of Fine Arts (Beijing, China), and The Chinese Academy of Arts (Hangzhou, China).
