Breeze Li
Breeze Li (b. 1996, Sichuan, China) tries to paint the exterior and interior reality that she perceives as a harmonious one. She sees the world and things that exist in the world as outward expressions that humans can receive. In her works, she tries to bring the world closer by painting it with enjoyment of its existence, as a Chinese poet from 11th century wrote: “Between heaven and earth everything has its owners… Only the fresh breeze over rivers and the bright moonlight between hills are freely given. When your ears receive them, they become sounds, and when your eyes meet them, they become colors. These are inexhaustible, and can be shared and enjoyed by you and I both freely.”
